U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY (TREASURY)
Prior to the formation of the Department of Homeland Security, Treasury housed the U.S. Customs Service which assisted in preventing invasive species from entering the U.S. Currently, Treasury advises and assists in the formulation and execution of U.S. international economic and financial policy, including the development of policies with respect to international trade, investment, bilateral aid, environment, and development programs. Multilateral Development Banks have in the past funded invasive species projects.
